Wool Week 2021

Welcome to Wool Week 2021! Wool Week is an annual celebration of all things woolly, the many fantastic uses and properties of wool, hosted by Campaign for Wool. I am a self professed wool enthusiast, passionate about using wool in textiles and breaking the thought that British wool is only suitable for carpets and insulation! I wrote my dissertation about the future of wool as a sustainable material in British textiles, it is a subject which lies close to my heart and my practice as a designer. So what a perfect time to celebrate wool and write some posts about it. Below are some slides giving a brief intro in to the benefits of wool. I’m planning a few more in depth posts, diving in to and explaining these ideas further - so stay tuned over the next few weeks!
